Fencing that stands up to North Wales weather, fitted properly first time

A good fence gives you privacy, security, a tidy boundary and shelter for the garden. A badly fitted one blows flat in the first winter gale, and on the exposed coast between Talacre, Prestatyn, Rhyl and Llandudno that is not a question of if but when. Branching Out supplies and fits fencing for gardens, boundaries, paddocks and commercial sites across Denbighshire, Flintshire, Conwy and Cheshire, and we build it to stay up.

That means posts set to the right depth in concrete, gravel boards to keep the panels out of the wet, galvanised fixings and pressure-treated timber. We fit closeboard fencing built on site to any height, panel fencing with timber or concrete posts, post-and-rail and stock fencing for farms and rural properties, and gates of every size. We also repair and replace storm-damaged fencing, and we can remove an old fence or overgrown hedge to make way for the new one.

One recent job saw eighteen posts, base boards and panels fitted in a week for a customer in Dyserth, with the old fence removed and the borders left tidy. Have a look at the gallery for more.

How It Works

From first call to finished job

Simple, transparent and with no pressure at any stage.

1

Measure up

We visit, measure the run, check the ground and the boundary line, and talk through heights, styles and gate positions.

2

Written quote

You get a fixed quote for materials and labour, with the removal of any old fence included. We can offer a couple of styles at different prices.

3

Fit

Posts are set in concrete at the right depth and spacing, gravel boards and panels or boards are fixed level and true, and gates are hung to swing cleanly.

4

Tidy

Off-cuts, packaging and old fencing are removed and the borders and lawn are put back as we found them.

Why Branching Out

Why choose Branching Out for fencing

Cheap fencing is expensive. The difference between a fence that lasts fifteen years and one that lasts two winters is in the posts, the fixings and the person fitting it.

Built for the coast

Deep concreted posts, gravel boards and galvanised fixings, because we know exactly what a westerly off the Irish Sea does to a fence.

Supplied and fitted

We source good pressure-treated timber and quality panels, so you are not ferrying materials from the merchant or guessing quantities.

Storm damage sorted

When panels come down in a gale we respond quickly, make the boundary secure and replace what needs replacing.

Where We Work

Fencing across Denbighshire, Flintshire, Conwy and Cheshire

We fit fencing throughout Denbighshire, Flintshire, Conwy and Cheshire, from tight terraced gardens in Rhyl, Prestatyn and Colwyn Bay to long boundary runs on farms and smallholdings in the Vale of Clwyd, around Denbigh and Ruthin, and across the Flintshire countryside near Mold, Holywell and Caerwys.

Coastal estates in Kinmel Bay, Towyn, Abergele and along the Flintshire coast see the worst of the winter storms, and a large part of our fencing work each spring is replacing panels and posts that were never fitted to cope. If yours has gone, we will come out quickly and put back something that lasts.

Fencing FAQs

In most cases a fence up to two metres high can be put up without planning permission, or one metre if it borders a road or footpath. Listed buildings and conservation areas have extra rules. We will advise if we think permission might be needed.

Closeboard is built on site from individual boards, so it is stronger, easier to repair and better on slopes and long runs. Panels are quicker and cheaper to fit. On exposed coastal sites we usually recommend closeboard or heavy-duty panels with concrete posts.

Yes. Slotted concrete posts with concrete gravel boards give the longest life and make panel replacement easy. Timber posts look softer and suit closeboard fencing. We fit both and will explain the trade-offs.

Deeds sometimes show boundary responsibility with a T mark, but often it is unclear. It is worth agreeing with your neighbour before work starts, and we will always fit the fence on your side of the line unless you have their agreement.
