Gardens designed and built to be used, not just looked at

A garden should be somewhere you want to spend time, not a job you keep putting off. Whether you have just moved into a new-build in Prestatyn or Buckley with a bare, rutted plot, inherited an overgrown garden in Llandudno, or simply want your outdoor space in Mold or Rhyl to work harder for the family, Branching Out can plan and build the whole thing. We handle the soft landscaping (lawns, borders, planting) and the hard landscaping (paths, edging, walls, sleepers) so the finished garden works as one.

We start by listening. How do you use the garden? Who needs to use it: children, dogs, someone who cannot manage steps? How much time do you honestly want to spend maintaining it? From there we suggest a layout and materials that suit the site, the North Wales weather and your budget, and give you a clear written quote before anything is dug.

Because we also do the tree surgery, hedge work, fencing and patios, one team takes your garden from clearance to completion without you having to coordinate several trades.

How It Works

From first call to finished job

Simple, transparent and with no pressure at any stage.

1

Chat and visit

Tell us what you would like to change. We visit, measure up, look at drainage, levels and access, and talk through ideas on the spot.

2

Plan and quote

You receive a simple plan or sketch where helpful, a materials list and a fixed written quote, with options if you want to phase the work.

3

Build

We clear, prepare the ground properly, build the hard landscaping first and finish with turf and planting, keeping the site tidy throughout.

4

Hand over

We walk you round, explain how to look after the new lawn and plants, and can arrange a maintenance visit if you would rather leave that to us.

Why Branching Out

Why choose Branching Out to landscape your garden

Plenty of people can lay turf. Fewer will prepare the ground so it drains, still be answering the phone in a year and happily come back to fix a fence panel or prune the new trees.

Practical design

We design for the way you actually live, the soil and wind you actually have, and the time you actually want to spend gardening.

Everything in-house

Trees, hedges, fencing, patios, decking and turf from one team. One quote, one point of contact, no waiting on other trades.

Local and accountable

We are based in Prestatyn and most of our work comes from recommendations. We want you to be pleased enough to tell your neighbours.

Where We Work

Landscaping across Denbighshire, Flintshire, Conwy and Cheshire

We landscape gardens throughout Denbighshire, Flintshire, Conwy and Cheshire. Coastal gardens in Prestatyn, Rhyl, Kinmel Bay, Abergele and Llandudno need salt-tolerant planting and shelter from the wind; sloping plots in Dyserth, Meliden, Colwyn Bay and the Flintshire hills need terracing, retaining walls and steps; heavy clay in parts of the Vale of Clwyd and around Mold needs proper drainage under a new lawn. We have worked with all of it.

New-build estates across the region, from Prestatyn and Rhuddlan to Buckley, Connah's Quay and Abergele, are a large part of our work: turning compacted, stony builder's plots into usable family gardens with a decent lawn, a patio and planting that will establish quickly.

We are landscapers rather than garden designers, but for most gardens we can plan the layout, suggest materials and planting and sketch it out for you as part of the quote. For a large or complex garden that needs a formal design we are happy to work from a designer’s drawings.

Turf can be laid most of the year in North Wales as long as the ground is not frozen or waterlogged, with spring and early autumn ideal. Seed is best sown in April or September. We will advise on watering, which is the thing that makes or breaks a new lawn.

Yes, this is one of our most common requests. Gravel, slate or bark areas, a smaller lawn, slow-growing shrubs, membrane under the borders and a decent fence rather than a hedge all cut the upkeep right down. We can also set up a regular maintenance visit for whatever is left.

Yes. Spoil, old turf, rubble and green waste are removed as part of the job and the price includes disposal, so there are no surprise skip costs.
